THE GREAT SHAH

The Eternal Legacy of Persian Royalty

Inspired by the grandeur of the Persian Empire and the legacy of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, The Great Shah is a majestic fragrance born from heritage, admiration, and an enduring sense of pride.

Created by perfumer Cyrus Tehrany, this exceptional composition is a deeply personal tribute to his Iranian roots and the profound love, respect, and admiration he holds for his Shah. It is an expression of Persian identity, royal elegance, and a legacy that continues to live through generations.

The Great Shah embodies the spirit of a king: powerful yet refined, commanding yet graceful. Every ingredient has been carefully selected to evoke the richness of Persian history, the splendour of royal palaces, and the timeless elegance of an imperial era.

The Opening

The fragrance opens with a radiant blend of orange and bergamot, enriched by the exotic warmth of cardamom and the aromatic elegance of lavender. A noble and captivating introduction that reflects the brilliance and sophistication of Persian royalty.

The Heart

At its heart, majestic cedarwood and aromatic clary sage unite with refined lavender, precious Persian rose, and elegant iris. This sophisticated composition reveals a harmonious balance of strength, nobility, and timeless beauty, paying homage to the artistic and cultural heritage of Persia.

The Base

The foundation unfolds into a deep, luxurious composition of musk, cashmere woods, amber, benzoin, vanilla, tonka bean, and oakmoss. Rich labdanum and warm cinnamon bring sensual depth, while mystical incense and smoky leather create a powerful, distinguished character.

A warm, regal trail that evokes the atmosphere of ancient Persian palaces, royal ceremonies, and the enduring spirit of an empire.

The Great Shah is more than a fragrance. It is a tribute to heritage, honour, loyalty, and the eternal legacy of Persian royalty.

Kingdoms may fall. Crowns may disappear. But true greatness remains eternal.

The Creator Behind Tehrany Parfums.

Almost five years into his work as a junior perfumer, Cyrus Tehrany has developed a signature style where his Persian heritage and European life naturally converge.

His earliest scent memories trace back to childhood: his grandfather's distinctive Old Spice, interwoven with the warm spice aromas from his mother and grandmother's Persian kitchen. Fragrances bound to family, culture, and memory elements that continue to shape his creative language today.

In his work, Cyrus constantly seeks balance between East and West. The depth, warmth, and sensuality of oriental perfumery meet the structure, refinement, and elegance of European tradition.

His style is dark, layered, and uncompromising, with a particular affinity for fougère and chypre compositions.

For Cyrus, perfume is not an accessory but a form of art. A way to translate memory, culture, and emotion into scent.

A composition for him never begins with ingredients. It begins with a feeling.
